A couple years ago, free from Oprah's influence, I picked up the book, 'YOU: the Owner's Manual' out of my own vested interested in knowing how and why my body does what it does. My grandfather was having bypass surgery at the time, so I was especially interested in learning about the heart and cholesterol. Well, Drs. Roizen and Oz's latest publication, 'YOU: On a Diet' is nothing short of completely enlightening. I always thought I ate well, but in the midst of reading their new book, I am learning that my 'good' eating habits were actually bad! I spent the weekend working to rid the kitchen of anything that had *high fructose corn syrup*, *hydrogenated oils*, *items with greater than 4g of saturated fats*, and *items with greater than 4g of sugar*. This chore left me with two things: a can of black beans and a bottle of tabasco sauce.
