Default Halfing?

Ok, it's not rocket science, it's not new, it's not magic but has anyone tried halfing as their diet. Where basically you eat half of everything on your plate.

This helps when you can't be bothered to create fancy new low calorie meals, or your family still want to eat the same things they always do.

You serve up your normal portion of normal food (no compensating for the amount you'll be eating by filling your plate up higher!) and eat exactly half of everything in front of you.

I've tried it for a week, because I struggle to diet as I love my food and i've lost 3 pounds this week.

Obviously - some may not like the idea of wasting food, so you could put it in the fridge for later?

just thought i'd share my (hopefully ongoing) sucess with the bulge!

I see no reason why it shouldn't work. At least you will still be eating proper food and won't crave things as much?
My mum is forever dieting! When she feels like a snack she will either eat a bit of fruit or have a nice fruit smoothie or glass of squash to drink because sometimes when you think you feel hungry you just need a drink.

Or if she feels like eating she will just go running or jogging or go for a walk to get rid of the temptation. How it works i do not know.

Good luck i hope you feel like you are getting somewhere and feel better about yourself soon x

I've been doing this a lot lately, not intentionally but just been off my food this past few weeks.

Another thing I found that helps me is moving my legs around when I am sitting down. I have a recliner chair and I spend most of the time in it with my feet up, so I just raise one leg at a time lower it, raise the other, over and over.

NOw after a few minutes I barely register in my brain that I am doing it, and sometimes I go for an hour at a time.
It doesnt sound much, but I buil it up slowly and the first week i did this i lost 4 pounds, and I had changed nothing else at all.

good luck, it can be a difficult fight to loose weight

I will order a soup and sandwich lunch special. Eat the sandwich one day and keep the soup for the next.

It can be hard - like I failed tonight, because we had curry and I just had to eat the lot!! But it has been working - it just makes me happier eating my normal foods - just not as much!
