Default My hair is still a disaster :(

So I washed my hair 12 times this week - a personal record. And my too dark hair colour did indeed fade - to a really brassy shade that looks terrible with my pink undertoned skin. This is obviously the filler they put on to go over my blonde showing through. I'm off to put medium ash brown in it tonight as ashy tones are supposed to counteract brassyness (my natural colour is dark ash blonde so it should suit my skin). Why oh why did I do this?!?!?! My hair was damaged from years of bleaching and I didn't want the constant upkeep of getting my roots done but this upkeep is just as bad if i'm going to have to dye my hair brown on a weekly basis to stop it from looking brassy. Ugh, what a hasstle

You can get a toner called "UNRED" it is navy blue. you can add it to hair colour or shampoo or conditioner.....it does tone the brass.

I had two hair disasters this summer....

1. the Brasilian Keratin Treatment

OMg not for blondes !!!! My hair turned like Yellow--bright orangy yellow---icky !!!! was terrible and so much work to get npot yellow....surprised any hair is left on my head

2. The blowdryer at the GYM

I had a bad experince with hair getting caught in a dryer years ago so I am pretty careful--usually and only use my own blowdryer babyliss pro--so good

BUT I was ina hurry and took a fast shower at he gym with my hair in a ponytail...got a little wet and had a meeting that was kind of important so I used the little blowdryer attatched to the wall ---my hair got stuck and ripped out.....so now it looks like bangs/fringe in the BACK of my head I spend every morning trying to disguise this mishap and it grows so slowly...

UGH

See your hair could be worse !!

Washing it loads will dry it out..
You could always strip your hair from all the hair dye you have put onto it.
You buy it, its a home dying kit.. You only leave it on for about 15 minutes if that and then put the colours on you wish to have and tadarr!!

I have naturally dark hair, and when I say dark I mean black I try and dye my hair lighter because I always got asked if I was of another ethnic background.. I'm tanned, blue eyes and black hair.. Annoying to me but everyone tells me I'm lucky so, I'll be thankful for that..

Your colour will fade as time goes by.. Xx

Luckily the ash brown dye I put in worked. So I went back and bought a few so I can do it every few weeks whenever the red starts to peek through - so much for brunette being low maintenance! I tried a blue toner on it before the ash brown dye but it didn't do much, maybe that's just for blondes? It did work when I was blonde.

My hair is very dry from all the washing (and because it was so bleached and I used a flat iron on it about 3x a week) so I did a coconut oil treatment last night. Will do it again on the weekend too and try to lay off the heated styling tools for a while.

I have heard that those Keratin treatments aren't good for blondes. I never tried one because my poor bleached hair was so beaten up I thought adding extra chemicals to it could not be a good thing - lucky I didn't!

Ahh that's good then!!
I find if you put conditioner onto your hair at night.. And leave it over night whilst your asleep then wash it off in the morning your hair feels soo glossy!
I did it myself a few months back because my hair was getting really dry
And when I washed it off my hair felt lush!! It doesn't have to be some amazing product anything will do! And put an old pillow case on! Lol..

Just took some of my own advice and conditioned my hair.. havnt done this in a while..
1.My hair smells amazing!!
2. It so glossy
3. when i run my fingers through it its soooo soft!!

Normally i would sleep with conditioner in my hair but
its not that dry so i didnt need to do this.. Bleaching
your hair is one of the worst things to do! My aunt is
a hairdresser and i asked her to do mine and she blatently
refused.. i wanted blonder underneath and she would not
do itso i ended up going out to the shops and buying my own
bleaching kit with burnt all of my scalp and made it bleed!

Hope your all sorted now though!!
