Question ~Exercise~

~~~~~~~
Hey folks!
I'd like to know, what are some of your favorite ways to exercise?
My personal #1 is very basic, I love walking my dogs. It benefits both the pups
and I mentally and physically. I love it and can never get enough. Since my
illness causes me 24/7 pain, most walks my eyes are tearing and I'm clenching
my teeth, but seeing my dogs happy and feeling the sun on my face keeps me
going and going and going, like the Energizer bunny.
Please go ahead and share your faves! I would really love to hear!
I'm jogger- new at it- I jog every other day 4.4 km I used to jog everyday but I realised that was why my time was not getting better so now it's every other day. I love jogging I get into this 'zone' and just listen to my music, I love it. Which is funny because it take a lot of effort to actually go do it.
I also love walking with Bijoux and my Grandmother. We do the trails together and Bijoux can roam around off leash -she never leaves my side- and she get braver because she can smell all sorts of new things
I've gotten so many benefits from it and I highly encourage everyone not to take their health for granted.
Me before at 181lbs-right is me now
Thanks for your input ladies! Walking really is so basic, yet such a health preserver.
Kelsey, congrats on improving your health. Jogging is great. Anything outdoors
is fabulous in my mind. Be it walking, jogging, hiking, biking, rollerblading, etc.
You are right to encourage folks to not take their health for granted, it can be
taken away in a blink of an eye. I always led a healthy lifestyle, yet I still got
ill by no fault of my own. However I did not pay enough attention to the simple
things. Just the benefits of sunshine for example. Going outside, by yourself,
with your dog, a friend, getting a little exercise and sunshine is tremendous to
our well being. It's easy to get depressed and unhealthy by just sitting around.
I wonder does anyone do Yoga, swimming, or how about sports?
I have become so lazy recently, my only exercise is walking the dogs. I used to ride, almost every day, (trained as a riding instructor) and that is the ultimate mind-body-soul exercise in my opinion.
I have ridden on a horse before but don't really know how to ride. I think it would be wonderful to really know how.
I like to walk with the dogs for exercise and I also do a lot of stretching. I tend to have achy joints otherwise and stretching everyday really helps. Nothing as formal as yoga but just my own little routine.
Definitely love walking Midgie! But one of my favorite exercises is playing racket ball and anything fun.
