Default Hair!

I've been dying the ends of my hair ridiculous colors since summer, and I've been having fun changing up the colors I use. Just recolored my hair, as the last round has pretty much faded out (the dyes are only semi-permanent, so they all fade), and I'm pretty happy with the results. So, I thought I'd share!

Those are some bright colors! I love playing with hair color myself, I've had some nice ones over the past few years, but I'm currently back to my boring platinum blonde. It's so low maintenance for me (Because I'm naturally dark blonde) but my daughter told me the other day she thinks I need pink hair! ha ha we'll see

Did you do it yourself? what dyes are you using for your colors?

Oooh, pink! SOunds pretty!

I do color it myself. I use a brand called 'Splat' mostly because the drug store close to my house happens to sell it. I tried it once and liked the results, so I've pretty much been using 'Splat' for my hair adventures.

You look so cool! I don't have your cahoonas! Not only do I like to have the
same old color, but I'm too nervous to even get a haircut. I don't like change.
Kudos to you for bravery! You look awesome.

Oh I saw that one recently! the local pharmacy carries that one!
I've always been a manic panic girl myself

Maybe I'll try the splat on my next adventure, the colors look nice and vibrant in your hair, and that's the point of crazy colors.. to be vibrant!

I used Manic Panic colors in college, they're very nice, too. Splat just happens to be easily accessible for me. I've never found Manic Panic in a drug store. Only in specialty stores like Hot Topic.

Since your hair's already so light, you shouldn't need to bleach it. But, I do recommend leaving the color in for longer than the suggested time. They recommend 30-45 min, but I let the color set for 2-3 hrs before washing it out. There's no bleach or abrasive agent, so it won't harm your hair, and I find the color is much deeper and richer when you let it sit in longer.

Ha, I'm the opposite. I start to get bored with my look if it's the same for very long, and hair is so easy to change, it tends to be what gets a 'makeover' when I decide something needs to be different. Lots of haircuts, and these days wacky color.

Loving the gradient dip dye Smith!
I dyed mine a lovely teal green for Christmas, but when it started to fade I threw diluted purple over it to create a lovely inky blue. So I guess I'm a Blunette lol.
I use Directions, which is a British brand, but they sell it as Punky Colour in the States. Very long lasting, on par with Special Effects.
