To everyone that helped with Cooper’s surgery:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It was a wonderful surprise when I found out I won’t have to wait until February or March to get his other knee fixed up. I appreciate everyone that gave something more than you can imagine.
His knee was checked at OmaKitty’s last visit and has been “upgraded” to a Grade 3 (from a Grade 2 in August) and the vet says he doesn’t need surgery immediately, but the sooner the better. I haven’t made an appointment for the surgery yet because he’s gained a little weight and both the vet and I want him to be a little lighter before he goes under the knife. Hopefully, by Christmas, I’ll have good news to report and I’ll come back and let everyone know how my little man is recovering.
Thank you again – I am really touched by your kindness and your help has taken a huge weight off my shoulders.
Sheryl & Cooper
Edit: I forgot to add ... since Cooper had his first surgery, the insurance company may make the knee surgery an exclusion on his policy and I'll have to pay for it in full. If they don't end up doing that and I am reimbursed for the surgery, I will donate anything reimbursed to the San Antonio Chihuahua Rescue
in the name of chihuahua-people.com. I just thought you would want to know that as well.
Thank you again!
