Default Any of you ride a motorbike/trike?

Hello all,
Its our 30th wedding anniversary this year so the hub and I have decided to treat ourselves to a trike. The hub used to ride a motorbike as a teenager but is now nearly 50 and has a bad back so we decided to go for a trike rather than a bike as less leaning and hopefully less dangerous!
We are currently waiting for a guy to convert a Suzuki vl800.
Im very very excited yet very very terrified as have never sat on the back of a bike in my life. Not even had a push bike. Ha. Not kidding.
How about you guys?

I was a total biker chick when I was younger I did ride, but was never keen on riding on the roads, so preferred dirt bikes and off road fun. My ex was into very fast bikes and racing, I was an excellent pillion.
You will love having a trike, all the fun without the danger. Best of all you will be able to take the dogs along too. You must post pics when it is done.

I had a feeling you would reply Wicked Pixie. Lol. I will post some pics. The first pics are of the bike before we sent it off for conversion and the last one is of a pic I found on a bike conversion site when we were looking for someone. Made me laugh. And i would like to stress these are NOT my dogs, mine are way too nervous!

I rode a 750 Honda Dressedout before moving to Maryland....... loved it!! toured to Colorado and many other places... The smell of Mountain Air... pine trees... nothing like it......my son said he didn't want a Grandma riding a motorcycle so I sold it before moving here... I was ready to sell so didn't bother me too much......

My parents ride a motorcycle, but I want them to get a trike. My Dad won't though. I think they would be much safer! My Mom has fallen off the back of the bike before (when it was stopped), while the entire motorcycle section of a ferry (and probably my Dad) laughed at her. Haha. I'm sure she would be willing to ride on the back of a trike instead!

I had a lecture from my 27 year old son who wanted to know why we wanted to kill ourselves, lol. You have to laugh when you get a lecture from your own kids. What they dont think about is that i started having kids at just 17 so im having my teenage years now, or trying to anyway! My daughter thinks we are having a midlife crisis. I just wanted something just for me and hub that didnt include kids/grandkids. Sounds mean and selfish but ive bought up 4 kids, look after grandkids (2 more on the way) and want to do something cool before im too old to.

Im not stupid, i made the hub get a bike with a back rest thingy, i had visions of him pulling away and leaving me sitting in the middle of the road. Apparently its very hard to flip over a trike as well which is an added bonus!
