Default Honeymoon hot spots???

Hi!! As many of you know, I am getting married this year and I have no idea where we should have our honeymoon? I have a few ideas but I've never been to any of these places so I would love feedback and any suggestions. Some of the places I was thinking of are Hawaii, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Bahamas. I would love to go to Bora Bora but a few of our friends went there and they said their vacation cost about $10,000 which is way over our budget.

Thank you!!

I got married at the Valentin Imperial Maya in the Riviera Maya and it's an amazon resort, adult only, amazing good, one of the best beaches in Mexico. The resort is so beautiful and peaceful very jungly which I love. I have been there 5 times that's how much I love it! Many of my guests have since been back an one even had her wedding there too. I've been to Punta Cana and stayed at the Excellence also adult only all inclusive. The resort was beautiful but you can't really leave the resorts because its dangerous and so much poverty it's very sad. Mexico gets a bad reputation sometimes but it's my top place to go, I love the people and it's really beautiful. The other top resorts to stay in would be Secrets Maroma Beach, Excellence Rivera Cancun or Excellence Playa Mujeres.

I've never been anywhere... but I've become obsessed recently with both Costa Rica and Bali. Those would be my top choices.

Also Italy.

I been to Jamaica.... was dirty and the cruise director warned us about possible 'bad things' if we didn't be observant...I won't go back there....ever.....

My favorite place is the Grand Caymens... very pretty and clean......I also like Cozumel.... the snorkeling and scuba in that area is outstanding!

My business partner went to Jamaica recently and their hotel safe was broken into and they said they didn't feel safe even staying at their nice resort. They were offered drugs constantly in the resort and said they would never go back.

We went to Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2003 & got chased by an apparent drug dealer, he drove backwards down the wrong side of the street trying to sell us drugs. SCARY! In 2004 we went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for my parents 25th anniversary, stayed @ Riu Jalisco & everything was beautiful from the vow renewal ceremony to the views. We then honeymooned there in 2006. There's so much to do & we always recommend the city tour, the Pirate Ship Dinner Cruise, the Rhythms of the Night show & dinner, the Mexican Fiesta, & shopping in Bucerias. I would not recommend going to a bull fight, what a shock that was. We had to leave after about 30 minutes because we couldn't handle it. Puerto Vallarta is our favorite place. In 2005 we went to Punta Cana & stayed @ the Ocean Blue & Sand resort. The resort had literally just opened that week & wasn't completed but it was still beautiful. We took a day trip tour that literally lasted all day & was so interesting & enjoyable (with the exception of bathroom facilities). They also have topless beaches so nothing like seeing saggy boobies. We like to shop wherever we go & Mexico has lots of it, Jamaica was okay & Punta Cana didn't really have much for shopping. I do NOT suggest drinking the beer or eating the pickles in Dominican Republic. Oh lord, never knew either could taste so wretched.
