Default Baby Elliot

I just wanted to update you and let you know that I had my baby at 27 weeks on July 18th, so he was 3 months early. He was born at 2 lbs 2 oz and will probably be in the NICU until October or so. I developed pre-eclampsia, and I was too sick to stay pregnant any longer, so I had to have a c-section. His name is Elliot and he is actually doing really really well. He is breathing completely on his own which is a HUGE accomplishment for a baby born as early as him. We are super proud of him. He is definitely a fighter!

Congrats on your new baby. So glad the two of you are doing well, and healthy given the circumstances. Not many are so fortunate. A friend of mines girlfriend past away giving birth. And they think it was the same thing you had. So sadly her baby Ava never got to meet her mom. I hope you and your baby continue to get stronger and stronger.

Hi Lindsay! Congratulations to you and hubby on your 1st baby, he's so precious and tiny! I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult pregnancy dear but i'm so glad he is thriving and doing well!! I was a premie too, born 2 months early and in Serbia where the health care wasn't top notch. I also spent the next 2 months in an incubator until I was ready to go home. He is such a fighter! Keep us posted on how he's doing with lots more pictures too please!! 😘

Congratulations. I am so sorry you had complications and he arrived so early, he definitely sounds like a little fighter. You must be exhausted with the C section and visiting the SCBU, so thanks for finding the time to update us all. He is a precious little darling.

Congratulations! He is so precious! My grandson was born two months early. Most people think the baby decides when it's time to be born, but it's not, it's the mothers body that determines it! NICU does such wonders for babies! That grandson is now 13 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall ands is trying out for football!

Thank you everyone! This has definitely been the most difficult thing we've ever been through. I'm still having issues with my blood pressure, so I'm definitely still trying to recover. I'm just exhausted, but slowly catching up. I'm trying not to push myself, but it's hard to not want to spend all my time in the NICU with him.
