Hey ladies, a question for you all again recently I have had to deal with a number of blackouts with electricity this week, one the council admitted was theres and took a whole 8 hours to fix!!! 😖
Next half my house blacked out and the kitchen went, having a young baby right now means I really need to use the washing machine frequently and kettle to boil water and to keep the fridge from going stinky!
This happened late after 12 at night i'm usually up at random hours due to baby needing my attention 24/7! So I called the after hours electricity dept at the local council. The guy came out and laughed at me when he told me there was nothing he could do and to contact an electrician. So I have no idea how the power works connecting the house I just did what I thought best at the time and tried to call for some sort of help.
However, the next day while taking nap when baby was sleeping I wake upto what sounded like my door being knocked down, the banging was really that crazy loud!!! An older guy I found to be around the corner in my power box snooping he had a council uniform on. He begins to tell me off for calling the after hours emergency number and threatens me with a huge fine for calling for help to fix the problem, he dismissed me saying it was not his problem I woke in the night to my baby crying for a bottle. He did not call by phone, he didn't send a letter he just came to my door almost knocking it down and told me off! I didn't even know what to say at the time, I was losing my words and in my pjs half dressed feeling very embarrassed and out there to this guy who was intimidating me and he works with the local council here supposedly helping the community!!! I think I will just make a complaint to the manager of the local council here and if nothing happens and he does this again without a phone call or letter stating the problem then I will or may even now take it to the state council.
How would you deal with this ladies? I don't know I feel horrible and I felt scared for my baby at the time with him outside.
have you had any similar situations with intimidating people?
