Exclamation HELP... My shih tzu and westie problem

Hi guys,
I posted recently and I have another question. I have a 11yo Westie and a 5yo chi and a recently adopted 5yo shih tzu.

As I mentioned before the chi Shadow and shih tzu Nucky get on great. nucky was scared of Jessie our westie at the start. but recently they are becoming friend

BUT today he has started to lick her genitals why is this? Jess is spayed nucky isnt. I'm quite concerned as I am leaving over night tomorrow and we have my mother in law coming to stay and mind them. I just want to know why he is doing this.

Thank you so much,
really nervous moms here.

He is probably just grooming/cleaning her, which is a good sign as far as their relationship goes. However if it is something he hasn't done before, and he is doing it a lot it could be that she is getting an infection. So I would watch out for signs of a UTI (straining to pee, discoloured urine, smelly urine etc) but as long as she isn't getting upset by his attention I wouldn't worry too much. Just distract him if you want him to stop

I just want to add frequent peeing and inability to hold it as long as usual to the UTI symptom list.
