Went to the grocery store yesterday.
I was at the register and the cashier was scanning all the things. I turned my head to the bagger. She grabs the bottle of dish soap and than grabs the bag of dog treats and puts it in the same bag. The cashier then tells me my total and I pay. I then tell the person I'm with "how dare she put the treats with dish soap" I then grab an extra bag and take out the bag of treats. I didn't tell her or any other worker. But it should just be common sense you wouldn't put it with a package of cookies then dont put it with a bag of dog treats. Also I've had instances where the bottle of soap "opens" and gets all over.
Now I do understand I can be over reacting as I'm the same person who takes care of the bread. I can't count the number of times workers just put it with a large item and it just ends up smooshed or at the bottom of the cart.
Just don't smoosh my bread or put my dog treats in with soap please.
If the treats are in the original packages I, personally, wouldn't worry about what ever was in the same bag! Even IF the soap 'leaked' out, it shouldn't get anywhere near the treats, unless the packaging was damaged. JMO
I'd throw out the package with treats. Imagine if it's a bottle of bleach, disinfectant spray or toilet bowl cleaner.
I'm not saying the dog would necessarily die because you're right it's still in it's original packaging but I just wouldn't give it to my dogs.
We'll have to agree to diagree there Susan 😉
