Default Has anyone heard about the birds dying in Australia and now Texas

I heard this thru the grapevine today and was trying to get more information? They said that thousands of birds fell from the sky a week or so ago in Australia and cats that were eating the dead birds were also dying? I also heard that the same thing is happening in Texas right now? I was wondering if there had been any dog or people deaths related yet? and if they had found a reasoning behind it?

I hadn't heard about the ones in Australia! I was thinking that the Austin birds had to have been poisoned by a human. There was about 80 of them that died in Texas all at the same time, overnight. It can't be the bird flu or anything like that, they wouldn't have died so closely together.

Same thing happened in Canada a little while back and it turned out to be human poisoning.

Yeah it really sucks Lin. I wouldn't want to hurt any animal, I can't imagine somebody hurting that many.

They've done testing on the ones in Texas, I haven't heard the results yet though.

Yeah Kari, I just don't get what kind of person does that sort of thing. I mean what type person are they... what kind of family, history of mental illness? Hurting an animal is so far removed from me that it's just unfathomable.

It could be something as simple as the birds were pooping on their property and they got sick of it. I'm not saying that makes it better but that could be a reason for it.

I know, in fact that's what I just read. I googled it and it said in one article that it was thought that might be one scenario. But still....

I was just reading a current events board about this subject and they said that the birds that were found dead were not night birds so it couldnt have happened over night? Gives you something to think about anyways I guess?? Scary!
