Default Our dear friend Robin..

Robin,
You are such a courageous person ! You knew that Bambi was special, that her little body just wasn't made for a long life. Her breeder told you this. You followed your heart and with full knowledge of this you chose to care for and love Bambi--better than anyone else ever could. It takes a really amazing person to do what you have done. Every life is sacred--you remind us all of that this week.
Thank you for sharing lovely little Bambi with us here and for taking the time to keep us with you during her final hours. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Rubia

Thank you so much. I have a feeling I didn't do anything that you guys wouldn't have done. I did enter this full well knowing that she had issues. I wouldn't trade the 5 perfect months that we had her. I said this in my other post buy I owe it to you guys to say it again.

I refuse to turn this into a pitty party for myself. I couldn't have gotten through any of this without this forum and your constant flow of GOOD ADVICE, strength, love, experience, donations, etc. etc. etc. I am not exclusive to the tragedy of losing a pet. I am exclusive in the fact that people from all over the world fell in love with her and reached out to her. It's really very amazing, if you think about it.

I may still need to reach out and talk about with you guys, but it is my healing process and hearing all your stories of loss and survival help so much. I am no more special than any of you. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love you my chi family. I can't even visit my doxie site. You are my lifeline and I couldn't have gotten through this without you.

My hubby sat down and read every thread and now realizes how very real our affection for each other and our dogs is. This has brought all of us closer together. Hugs your pups, love your families. Life is short.

Let's get back to analyzing poop, bully sticks, dog food, etc. etc.

By the way, I got my bully sticks. OMG. It's the only thing that kept Cooper satisfied while I had Bam the last couple of days. They are amazing and worth the smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

All our thanks and love,

Robin, Andrew, Haley, Mackenzie, Coco, Cooper, and of course, Bambi

Very well said Rubia. I just want to add that I'm so pleased with chihuahua-people and how everyone pulled together for little Bambi. For those of us that have been on here for quite a while, we've seen some nastiness and pettiness, and even lost some great members because of it. But right now, we have such a fantastic group of chi-loving parents that have shown how loving and compassionate they are, and I'm really happy to be a part of this group

I have just gone back and read the posts and the other posts as well. I am so sorry I am coming in so late. My dear, dear girl, I don't envy what you are going through. I am so sorry.

I wish I had checked sooner, I'd have come sit with you. Metro is just a couple miles up the road from me. In fact, my vet owns that hospital and they are very good.

God bless, hugs, Lin

Are you kidding me? Oh, I'd have loved that. Carrera offered too but that day we were in and out. You guys are too sweet. I could have used some support that night I left her. I sent my poor hubby back cuz I felt like they kind of pushed me into it but I was so darn tired. Who's your vet? We live close by.

I'm sick of all those Florida people having chi get togethers and not us. We need to plan one. LOL.

Thank you for your kind words. This forum literally saved my life.

Robin

Creekside Animal Clinic is where I go and Sarah Tippin is the vet I usually see. She is awesome, but then they all really are. I'm in Norton, you?

I mean I am so sorry I didn't know. I need to quit being so self absorbed and pay attention to others.

Oh yeah we do need to get together! It would be so much fun. Hugs, Linny
