Default a question to meat eaters out there

I cooked a lovely spaghetti bolognese for tea, I was really looking forward to eating it, but my first mouthful put me off as there was a hard gristle bit in there, I put the rest in the bin as I can't eat after that, it physically puts me off eating for the rest of the day. I am like this with any meat that contains hard bits, I can throw away a full sandwich if the first bite contains a hard bit.

I am just wondering if anyone else feels physically put off after chewing a bit gristle.

I should really be veggie but I really lack ideas in what to cook.

i feel the same way. i get almost physically ill if i get a bit of gristle or bone or shell if it is a gumbo. if i cant get it out of my mouth in time i will throw up. I absolutely love meat tho. so if i am buying ground meat i buy the best quality. if i am buying a cut then i cut all of the gristley stuff off before i cook it. that saves on having to waste it. i wont go for anything like chicken and dumplings or anthing like that that may have shells or hard bits in it at a potluck supper either.

I know exactly what you mean! If i get a bit of gristle or fat or horrible stringy bits it makes me feel sick and i can't eat anything more of it. I like meat but i'm very fussy and only really like chicken & turkey. I think i'd probably be a vegetarian if i didnt like KFC so much lol
