Default Sand Bagging

My place is still high and dry so this is how my son & I spent our day on Friday.

Sand Bagging some of the neighbors houses.

The neighbors called for a half dozen helpers and a whole pile of people showed up.

Garrett (my son) & Austin (one of the neighbors kids)

The Sheyenne River was getting way to close.

The Red River Valley (Fargo/Moorhead) is in the middle of a record spring flood.

I am one of the lucky ones. My family and my pups are safe and sound. What you see on tv is just a small portion of the devistation that is going on here. These record levels of water are going to stay around for at least 5-7 more days before it starts to drop.

Been seeing it on the news in uk too, there was a huge shed like place with people who had to leave their homes and they were sand bagging too.

We have a place called the Fargo Dome (kind of like the Houston Astro Dome). They opened it up to the volunteers to sand bag there because it was blowing and snowing outside.
