Jen, I have a distinct adavantage over others here, in that I have known your gang and you for many years. I will being sending you a PM to read if that is okay.. Kisses and hugs to you and Hershey, Jax and Sassy. Blessings, Deb
Thanks Deb! I have been trying the green beans, Im still working on it. I know people think I just over feed him but I dont. I know a lot of the problem. My Mom now lives with us and she refuses to not give him at least a little food from the table. We have had many conversations about this issue. Hershey also I'm sure needs to be strictly on a high quality diet dog food and we have recently run into some money troubles and I cant always buy exactly what he needs. One person in the thread seemed to think sassy and jax are overweight too and they arent. Especially sassy, she is a good weight and very trim. Now jax might be a pound heavier than he should but looks pretty good. I'll be posting more soon.
Thank you, Jen, for your sweet thoughts.. it was so painful to lose 3 within 6 months of each other.
Please allow me to offer a method to help you with Hershey's need for weight loss. I assure you it works, and is great for small breeds like our chis. You just have to be dedicated and gradually work up to 50% of his daily food intake in green beans. If you use canned beans, be sure they are low sodium.. or the frozen green beans work great. Please give it a try, the thought of that precious boy in discomfort breaks my heart.
Oh Deb, I was heart broke to hear about Rio, Fancy, Charlie Chan, and Abby. It just makes me cry. I remember those precious babies! I'm so sorry. My Mom recently lost her yorkie after 11 yrs and it was an awful thing. I hope your new babies are doing great! My Mom, who now lives with us, now has a puppy Beiwer Yorkie and boy is she a mess! Lol! Mine are doing well except Hershey has got so big and has a bad leg so he is not getting around well. We are trying everything to manage his weight but its just not working well at all. Always a pleasure to talk with you.
Hey Jen.. yes, it has been a very long time..lol And, I am delighted to see you here. I was always in love with your boys, as you well know! Looking forward to lots of new pics of the gang. We are all well, but lost some of our "seniors" since you and I have talked.. Lost Rio, Fancy, Charlie Chan, and Abby, 3 of them in 2011. It was a sad year for us. The two "newbies" are Snow and Holly, sisters who were born here. They will be 3 years old on November 30th. Again, welcome, it is so good to see you again. Deb
