A local Texarkana electric company recently doused my elderly laborador retriever (Chase) in his yard, drew circles around his eyes with a chemical, and soaked his fur in it. If this was not enough they sprayed more of the chemical around his water bowl and the substance was all over the grass and the gate. He had to suffer with this substance on him for several hours before my parents were able to figure out what happened. My mother ended up on an IV due to a reaction from the chemical, their skin burned for hours, and they continue to deal with effects from bathing Chase. If you have a pet that may stay in the yard at all, please spread the word or call with questions to your local electric company about their policy regarding spraying your pets with substances. How do you feel about knowing that this could be going on all over town and could be your family pet, family members, children, or friends who could be subject to this kind of cruelty ????
I have a question that may sound a little odd and I have not seen it addressed. My little Tinkerbell will be six months on Aug 2. She is active and the vet said she is healthy. However,my little girl has never barked. I know the question is usually how to keep them quiet. When she is in her crate she does a noise almost like a little baby. Gandalf, my four year old boy barks when we have guests or someone drives down the alley however Tinkerbell will run with him but never makes a sound. When I brought it up to the Vet, he said Don't worry when she is totally comfortable and feels safe you will hear her little voice. But with her being almost six months old.Does this seem strange?
