They're gorgeous! I, too, am puzzled by Clyde's tail. Does he ever carry his tail in a curl like Bonnie? Has he ever had an injury to his tail or lower back? Is this connected to an emotional state?

The only thing I can think of is a birth injury? X-rays may show something, if you are concerned enough? Have you ever seen his tail up? Sleeping, happy? Does he wag it at you.?

Hi Susan he wags it and he raises it half way but never n a full curl the picture doesn't do justice in how chubby it is tho he seems happy and content so maybe next time I'm with my vet il ask him to have a look

Yes, if it is never ever up or in any other position than this, it sounds like it is damaged in some way. When moving, even dogs with a naturally low tail carriage carry it out behind them a little to avoid hitting their back legs.
