Default Newbie here, my Chi has a bump on his head

I am a newbie here, I wasn't sure where to go for this, but I have a (deer head) Chihuahua, whom is my baby, he is around 9-10 years old, and as I am a student, I live in Chicago, he lives in TX, I am visiting for the summer right now and I noticed (after seeing him in June it was not here) that he has a small flesh colored bump on top of his head. It seems to have a black dot in the middle but is hard to see.. I didnt want to mess with it much but I did feel it and keep an eye on it everyday. I was not sure if it was a blackhead or pimple or my worst fear, a start to a tumor or something... I just wanted to know if anyone might have an idea as to what it could be, it would help relieve my worry

Can you take a photo? Could it be a tick?

I honestly have no clue. Maybe he hit his head and it's a small bump.

I'd check with a vet just to make sure it is not a small tumor/cyst. Some of the skin cancers start out tiny like this. Probably not, but to make sure----.?

I suspect it's just an "old age bump". A lot of senior dogs develop them as they age. Our last Chi had one, and I've known many other dogs with them as well. Kind of like a wart, I think? Totally harmless. Taken from a quick Google search:

"It's extremely common for pets to start growing viral warts as they age, and I see this all the time in my practice. When a dog gets to be 7, 8 or 9 years old, he tends to express (grow) a wart or two."
