Smile Hi! Turned into a chi fan :o

Hello hello
I am new here so here goes my intro post!

I have always been a crazy cat lady first and foremost so dogs were never on my radar...until my mum got a toy poodle x coton de tulear pup. And then surprised myself with how attached I’ve become...(even though she still chases my cat...oh well, its something to work on lol)
I encouraged to take her to puppy classes and there we met this beautiful clever quiet chihuahua girl. We’ve been going to the same class for a number of weeks now and Bonnie has definitely made a friend!
But honestly, although it is a lot of work I am having so much fun that I wasn’t expecting, and my eyes have really been opened I guess? Almost every chi we have met has been attached to their person, but still sociable and well-mannered ...completely blowing all my preconceived notions based on false yappy-dressup-doll stereotypes.
I have started reading up some more info and I am completely sold so far.

Problem is...I live with my parents. My mum is very supportive and would love Bonnie to have a chi friend for life. My dad on the other hand has always claimed he dislikes sogs and adding Bonnie to our household was pushing a lot of limits...he dislikes the mess mostly, but tbh he has never really taken much to them in general. Since Bonnie is doing so well with training, and is finally getting the knack of outdoor-potty-time, there’s a little part of me that thinks I could convince him to allow me to have my very own little doggy companion...

...but until then I am here to dig up some info and read stuff up, and also to admire and adore all your beautiful chihuahuas
Hopefully get to know some of you soon!

I still live with my parents as well.
My mom is totally okay with pets
My dad on the other hand is a different story. He wasn't raised with dogs or cats living inside the house. They were meant to live outside. They also were just fed scraps. This is just the way his parents had raised him. Are 1st dog my mom brought was a puppy he passed very quickly and was defeated by Parvo. Are second dog my dad gave an "ok" on. It was meant more as an outside guard. It was an older Chow Chow mix. He eventually died of old age. Are 3rd dog my dad actually wanted. It happened to be a 20 pound Chi mix. But he was meant to be an outside dog only. I would sneak Brownie in and he'd sleep with me. Eventually my dad found out but let it go. Since he was amazed how a little 20 pound dog acted like my guard. Some how between getting 2 other dogs, Brownie dying and getting 2 more dogs all 4 sleep inside at night full time as well as during the day. He still gets mad them when there barking early in the morning or at night. His main issue is the backyard since all 4 can make messes very quickly. So of course I'm constantly trying my best to clean the backyard and my dad as well will also helps.
Now I'm 19 and he figures that things won't change. He knows I'd do anything to keep all 4 of them. Although I know as soon as he gets a chance he will get a large dog and just have him as a guard dog. But right know he knows it's not possible having 4 small dogs.
