Question New tiny baby, I have questions

Hello all, I think it's taken me 2 weeks just to figure out how to ask questions on here lol confusing site to a newbie who's not tech savy.
My new baby is 9 weeks old, just barely over 1 pound...he has ticks
I've found 1 adult in his ear crawling, got it out and killed it..found 1 adult on floor next to him and a tiny baby tick crawling on me...ugh..I hate bugs!! I'm going to take him to the vet...any tips? Do I need to wash everything he's come in contact with??!! Ie..blankets on my couch, his little house carrier..toys?
He played in grass outside when he was with mother and siblings...this must be where her got them as he's been inside the house with me since I got him on Thursday. Please help, any info would help. Also he was vaccinated with 6 vaccines 9 days ago and is fine from that. Thank you!

I would wash everything possible. We don't have carpets but if you do I would recommend to vacuum. I think you can throw baking soda (not too sure)
Also I think fleas/tick die in the dryer (because of the heat?)
Keep searching the young puppy for ticks. If possibly the pup got them from your yard consider doing a flea and tick treatment. I'm sure you can get them professionally done but I buy the treatment at PetSmart and it just hooks up to the hose.
I'm sure others have more advice and of course the vet.

I agree to wash everything you can. If you have some puppy shampoo, I would give the puppy a bath and leave the shampoo on for 5 minutes before rinsing. Be sure to keep puppy warm. Any soap will suffocate bugs and cause ticks to detach, if not kill them outright. I would also try a flea comb before and after the bath (or just on its own) to make sure you get them all off. A small container of rubbing alcohol is handy to toss the ticks into, as it kills them quickly and easily. Let us know how it goes at the vet, and I'm glad he did well with his vaccinations!

Ugg ticks are horrid! If you found a baby tick, you MAY have more ticks in the house. Vacuum all the baseboards/rugs/floors every day for a week or so. There are sprays, and foggers, but you have to remove every living thing from the area.

I had an investation of ticks many, many years ago. The house (100 yr old) was treated three times by an exterminator before the baby eggs were killed. I finally called them 2 days before the 30 day guarantee ran out, and told them I saw a tick. That is when the treatment finally got the baby eggs in the baseboards. Good luck. My brother took my Irish Setter swimming in a lagoon behind the Museum of Science and Industry in HydePark IL. I was only 16 and didn't know what a tick looked like. I thought they were skin tags. The vet was horrified, and told my Mom that the house would have to be treated. I pulled 88 ticks off her neck/face/ears/feet at ONE sitting! Here's hoping that your tick problem is not nearly as bad.
