Hello everyone!!!
This is LS and Chanel from Canada!
Let me tell you a bit about myself and my fur kids...
I have three wonderful dogs, two three year old rescued Basenji brothers, and a 4 month old Chi named Chanel. My dear hubby and I live for our dogs. Everything we do is in their best interest, I am unable to have children therefore our dogs get all of our free time and ridiculous amounts of love and affection. They are spoiled with the best of raw nutrition, daily grooming, daily training, endless hours of walks, exercise, and play time, best vet care, and of course TONS of cuddles and rubs! Before I got ill I was a dog trainer, pet groomer and ran a tiny non-profit rescue. I studied Psychology, but chose dog related fields in the end because of my love and admiration for them. Now that I'm ill with a bladder disease I have a difficult time walking and am in constant severe pain, therefore hubby is in charge of most of the puppy walks(he LOVES it), I go once in a while but not for 6-7 hours per day like hubby does! Some people find 6-7 hours of walking extreme, but I strongly believe that exercise is the key to a happy dog. The baby Chi doesn't get that much, but the Basenji brothers NEED their 4 long daily walks in order to be happy, they are a high energy hunting breed. Dogs have always been a passion of mine, and I can not imagine a world without them. Hubby was a cat guy until he met me, 9 years ago, now he is as obsessed about the dog world as I am. Recently our Pomeranian passed away, I was completely heart broken because she was a very special little girl, extremely loved and treasured, she was with me longer than hubby, so to suddenly live without her was very strange and depressing. Hubby got baby Chanel for my birthday and she has helped both hubby and I cope. Chanel brought so much fun and laughter since her arrival, she is a very bright yet silly puppy, full of awesomeness(only word that explains it) lol. So, I've been browsing Chi forums and found this great place. Looks like a very welcoming and helpful forum. I am looking forward to chatting with you guys, getting to know you and your furkids and perhaps learning a thing or two about this wonderful breed!
