Default 1.5 year old marking...

Domo is marking my rugs!! Little stinker! He's neutered and potty trained. This is new and when it happens, I say NO and put him on his pee pad. I swear he knows he's doing something wrong lol. He'll get up to go pee on the rug and I'll look at him, and he'll put his head down and trot over to his pee pad.

WHAT CAN I DO?

That's why I have 3 girks and one boy...lol. I have no advice, but I have heard those belly bands work. Maybe try those, and hopefully find a good cleaning solution to rid any marked areas of their scent.

I swear by the belly band. I didn't put the absorbent pad in and let his little belly get soppy wet. (No, I didn't make him stay wet, don't worry). He got the message REALLY fast! He still enjoys marking on walkies, but never inside.

hmm idk if those will work for us...Domo is trained to go both inside on the pee pad and outside. I don't want him to not be able to go when he has to...ON HIS PAD lol.

I think after they pee in it a few times, they realize it's not a good feeling walking around w pee basically on them and then they don't want to do it anymore. I still have the boys pee on their set schedule (mojo outside and Leo on potty pads), but this helps in case they wanna lift a leg and mark in between. U can also put a slim panty liner in there to prevent the belly band from getting all gross. I use Susan Lanci and Hip Doggie belly bands, SL are by far my favorite.

cool thanks!! That's impressive that you have them on a set schedule to pee. I only have that on command thing! I guess I could try it and then tell him to go potty, and put it back on. thanks!
