Lilly's test results came back.
The vet thinks she has Cushing's but that it is so mild that it doesn't need to be treated at the minute. He wants to do follow up blood work and reevaluate in a few months.
Her liver results were all over the place. Some levels were high, others were low. I don't really know the specifics but he seemed optimistic. He wants to keep her off the rimadyl and retest in a few months as well.
For her arthritis, he recommended a new injection that he has seen very positive reactions to so far. It is similar to glucosamine but is given as an injection. Since Lilly cannot take glucosamine orally (makes her tummy upset and she vomits) he thinks this may be a good option. She cannot be on rimadyl because of her liver, so she is in severe pain right now. My mom has the name and is doing research on the injection before she decides.
Overall, not bad news! We are just happy that he seems to have a treatment plan.
