Default Starting Boopsy and Chola on Origen+ziwipeak

Hey!
My babies are on Royal Canin junior chihuahua and they seem to like it but after reading on here about grain and fillers i ordered Orijen puppy and Ziwipeak.
the kibbles in orijen are bigger but im much more comfortable with the ingredients.
Ziwipeak has yet to arrive.
At the moment i'm free feeding as the vet said they can't have too much at the min. Chola especially as she only weighs 500g at 9 weeks Boopsy is 850g.
Any advice on feeding and switching over would be great.
Also is it ok to feed both ziwi and origen?
thanks in advance guys x

Make the switch VERY slowly. Add a teaspoon of new kibble for a minumum of 3-4 days. If no negative reactions, increase the food until they are eating the new food totally.

The ziwipeak just arrived and they seem to like both, which is great! Only trouble with kiwi is the size of the kibble. For Chola the smallest i have broken them up. she puked a bit up and it looked a bit unchewed so we'll see. at the minute i have them mixed in together. Wondered if i should serve them separate on rotation or mix? Also i'm free feeding them at the min as they seem to pick when they like and take time to chew but i'm scared Boopsy will get fat as she is bigger and eats more. Lol confused!

I'm not a fan of free feeding myself, although it does work for some. I prefer to feed on a schedule, as it makes it easier to monitor how much each dog is eating and makes toilet training much simpler.
I wouldn't limit the amount they are eating at 9 weeks old though, I would let them eat their fill at each meal.
I would feed 4 times a day, and leave some dry food down at night. Try adding water to both the kibble and the ZiwiPeak to make it easier to chew.
I love their names, very unusual! How did you come up with them?

Thanks! Yes i'm going to start trying to get them on a schedule i think (which is extra difficult for me as i'm so go-with-the flow!) i will try adding water to the ziwi too. Im just so glad they seem to like it as they seem like quality food!
Chola is the name of a central African river goddess and Boopsy comes from a saying boop or boops that me and my friends used! xx
