Default Odie doesn't like S&C

I was SO excited when the owner of our fave pet food store told me that their vendor was going to start carrying Stella & Chewy's. I visited this week and they had the frozen raw patties available so I thought we would try it. I bought a bag of the duck duck goose because Odie is such a big fan of poultry so I figured it would be a good way to get her used to it.

I thawed it overnight in the fridge and put the patty (in a container) in a bowl of warm water to bring it to room temperature. I squished it up a bit and gave it to her and she couldn't have been less interested. She started whining to ask to leave her little eating area. I didn't want to give up, so I put the food in a frying pan and heated it up on the stove, hoping that it might make it smell a bit more appetizing. No dice. Next I tried crushing some of her favourite treats (Pure Bites chicken) and mixing it in, hoping that she would taste the raw and realize it's yummy. She actually dug through the food to find the pieces of treat and left the food.

Is there anything else I can do to make her try it? She LOVES her raw chicken and I didn't have to do anything at all to encourage her to eat that. The second she sees me grab her towel, she prances over to her feeding spot, so excited to eat the raw chicken. We are going to be buying some primal dehydrated food to replace ziwipeak, but I really wanted to add a frozen raw option to our rotation too. Any tips or tricks?

Maybe pop a bit in her mouth so she gets the taste? Other than that try again when she is really hungry.

My Lilo loves almost any kind of meat, but when it comes to pre made raw food, it's been very hit and miss. And to my surprise she hates duck too. I bought it for the first time recently (duck and chicken) and she just sat and whined. I tried a few times and she won't touch it. When hand feeding her, she spits it out. Maybe mix something she really likes into it, but something that she can't easily pick out of it. I use fried mince beef with Lilo which has worked so far and it really hides the smell/taste. lol I just don't want to waste all that food!

Wow! That's being picky little bugger. Maybe try with tiny little piece on finger and insert into mouth and take it from there. I can't believe she's not interested in raw duck. You could buy a cheap cut of round steak, cut it into bitesize pieces and mix it into the duck.

Lulu is not crazy about S & C Duck, duck, goose. She will eat it grudgingly. lol There was another one I bought--I think beef, but I would have to look at my buying history to be sure--she wouldn't touch AT ALL. She LOVES S & C Pleasantly pheasant. I say that to say, it may be that one particular type and not all S & C. All of these I'm referring to are freeze dried, but I don't think that matters. Does your store have a return policy you could exchange it for a different flavor?

Lola hates any kind of raw too unless it's the freeze dried type so I am so help here either. I also tried pan frying it for a little bit with no luck! But I'm interested in what everyone has to say too!!

Default I never tried it, therefore I don't like it.

Mickey is a bit like his daddy... doesn't like anything he hasn't tried before. lol On Christmas day I gave him wet Ziwi (never had it before) thinking he should have a feast while we did. Wouldn't touch it! After offering it for a couple meals, he couldn't get enough and didn't want to look at his kibble. Took a week to get him back on kibble. Could this be what's going on with Odie?
