Default Anyone ever tried this premade raw? "MUSH B.A.R.F"

Bf and I were looking at a new apartment today, and we stopped at the pet supply shop about 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment. I found this in the freezer section:

MUSH natural dog food (bf and I couldn't help but laugh at the brand name)

That's the English version of the site, but there are even more products on the Finnish and Swedish versions. It's a Finnish company and all the meats are from Finland. It was surprisingly affordable, too! The equivalent of $6 per 800g. That works out to less than $12 a month for a complete raw diet. We've been paying more than that for Acana. I almost can't believe it. There are nutritionally complete mixed flavors, and then there are individual meat/organ/bone products if you want to make a custom diet on your own. The premade mixes are ground meat, organ, and bone with about 5% vegetables. They have flavors combos including chicken, turkey, lamb, beef, venison, pork, and salmon.

I was wondering if anyone here had ever seen or tried this brand before. Maybe some of our UK ladies are familiar with it. It looks really great, but I'd love to hear if anyone has any personal experience with it. Once we're done figuring out which proteins Gemma is okay with, we're going to ask the pet supply shop if they can order some specific flavors for us because there was only a puppy formula and cat formula there today.

It looks like a really good food, good ingredients. I wish they sold it here in the UK, but I've never seen it. I'll have to research online to see. I like how these come already separated in little meat balls too. The pre made raw I feed at the moment comes in a big block so it's hard to separate it in portions without having to partially defrost the whole thing and refreeze. Not very convenient! I would definitely give this brand a try if it was available here.

Hmm, yeah, maybe it's only available to Scandinavia and Germany actually. Quite a shame because it looks like great food. Yes, I love the little 25g nuggets they come in! They are a perfect serving size for Gemma.

Default Teeth

I looked at the site and it seems they use quality meats, but this is just off of looking at their sites. Just curious for those who have their dogs on barf diet, are there any effects on their teeth? Like I know wet chows cause gunks to become stuck to their teeth, but does the barf diets also do that?

Yes, any wet food can. But a few raw meaty bones or other dental chews should take care of it.

Feeding a raw diet without any processed carbs and whole pieces of meat and bones to chew is the best way to ensure dental health.
Even feeding pre-made minced raw like this one is better for teeth than processed foods, but I would include some bones for a good dental workout.
