Default Dog Food

Dog Food

Some members feed kibble and they are totally happy with it, their dogs are fine, fit and healthy.

Some members feed raw and they are totally happy with it, their dogs are fine, fit and healthy.

Some members spend a lot of money on Kibble, they can afford to - Some members don't spend a lot of money on kibble, they can't afford to. Both have fine, fit and healthy dogs.

Some members don't want to feed raw, the thought of the bacteria being all around the house is not acceptable to them.

Some members don't want to feed kibble, they think it is absoloutely not good for their dogs.

Some members have dogs who need special diets - once that special food is found hopefully they will have fine, fit and healthy dogs.

All these variations seems to result in fine, fit, healthy and happy dogs - so no matter what you feed it is your choice, it suits your circumstances and your dogs are doing great!!

No one should ever be made to feel that what they are doing is inadequate. We all love and do our best under our own circumstances for our own dogs. I would assume that all members on here are great dog owners because they take the time to post and learn on here

This thread is not posted in order to fuel a debate about one type of food versus another. It is just emphasising that we all make the right choices for us and for our dogs.

I totally agree with you Jane.
I feed a good quality kibble and have no intentions of changing. lol
My girls are happy and healthy and that is all that matters to me at the end of the day.
What works for one may not work for another.
Such is life eh.

Hopefully this wont go pear shaped now. haha!!
Opinions are like you know what, we all have one. LOL xxx

I think when we make a choice that is right for our situations and pets we owe no explanation as to why. It's what we do, and that's that. It really isn't a debatable issue IMO. As you said, we all do what "we" feel best for our family and pets. As for the threads that voice one's opinion for their "own dogs," I can't see the need to be upset by that. As long as they aren't personally attacking anyone, just a general statement as to how they feel, then they have that right, as do we all. There are many threads about all types of feeding. Members go as far to say that the lower end foods are "crap." Some are 100% for raw, some 100% against. I think everyone has a right to their opinion, whether it suits us or not. And again, only if it isn't a personal attack.

We can only be made feel inadequate if we allow ourselves to be.

Good post Jane. Zoey is free fed on Orijen. I am quesey all the time
and just can't feed raw but have a high respect for those that do.
Zoey picks at her food like a bird, that is why she is free fed. If she
were a food scarfer she would be on a more controlled diet.
