Default Pippi's got allergies - Food suggestion?

Been up and down the vets with Pippi - Shes been sick a lot recently, and we've discovered that Lamb is another thing shes allergic to! She also cant tollorate anything with much grain in, especially corn.

At the moment shes on the Grain-Free James Wellbeloved (Thank goodness she won some at her last show!), but shes not too keen on it. Can anyone recommend a good quality food I can switch her onto? Id prefer something I dont have to order over the internet. There is a HUGE pet supplies warehouse just down the road so I can get hold of almost any food without a problem.

Cant do raw though - Got to be a dry food.

Ziwi peak it's dehydrated raw and is pretty much the best food you can get without goig prey model

If you have freezer space can do natural instinct but that's just pre made complete raw with a bit of veg

James wellbeloved isn't that gret quality food their are a lot better ones out there but if she has allergies I would suggest going for something like ziwi as it's the best you can go for and you don't have to feed a lot

I've done a lot of vet visits with Midgie! Severe allergies!! I couldn't find a good quality food close to home so I ordered The Honest Kitchen Preference & have been adding ground turkey, sardines & Pink salmon!! She loves it & her hair is growing back in, her eyes aren't water & her itching is almost non-existant. She is loving me with lots of kisses, playing, & smiling at me all the time. Haven't seen her like this in years & she's only 5. Very pleased!

Its grains and lamb - She can tolorate very small amounts of grain but it has to be tiny tiny amounts. (other than rice, shes fine with that)

I only put her on James Wellbeloved because I know she can handle it until I can find something better, I just prefer to ask people with small dogs rather than the pet shops or vets - So many of them recommend awful foods for the commission!

So true! You're right about that. My vet kept giving Midgie the prescription diet Science diet! Not good for her. I showed the vet the THK & she immediately loved the ingrediants & was very happy for Midgie to have it. We have to do our own research to do what's best for our dogs & family.

Dogs don't need grains so no need to give her rice I wouldn't if she's sensitive to grains they are just fillers.

Honestly I'd go for ziwi it's the best food (other than prey model) in the uk IMO it's not over expensive as you feed less and the ingredients are what they need nobadded chemicals and theydont have the nutrients zapped out of them
