Default Best food for puppy

I am currently feeding Vanna Science Diet, toy breed puppy tiny bites (the actual name escapes me but its along those lines). Is this good or could it be better? Its fairly pricey so I think its pretty good but Im really not sure if there are better recommendations. Google suggests the most expensive one but doesnt tell me much more thanks in advance

Its a baaad baaad food, lots of unnecessary fillers, and by-products (basically really low-grade animal ingredients, sometimes even including euthanized pets)...

Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble

Review the 4, 5 and 6 star foods -- those are your best bets

As far as a kibble goes that I can recommend with a clean conscience, either Acana or Fromm Four Star Nutritionals Duck & Sweet Potato (this is an all life stages food), or the Chicken a-la-veg one are really good

I am very big on dog food and am SO glad to see that other people have concerns about what they are feeding their pets. I have done a lot of research and spent a lot of time on this subject. At one point I was convinced that no dog food brand was good and started home cooking for my 3 after one of my dogs was diagnosed with kidney failure (thought to be from chemicals in her food).

I personally am not a fan of science diet (unless your dog needs a prescriptive diet), vets recommend it because they make money from selling it (they also get free supplies from the company with the company's logo on it). I know because I used to work at an animal hospital. Dog food is a huge money maker for them. There is a lot of preservatives and artificial/over processed ingredients in their food. I recommend The Honest Kitchen, Orijen, Blue buffalo or Wellness. They can be hard to find and a little pricey (I think petsmart carries blue buffalo) but the quality is unbeatable. When it comes to little ones quality matters. Toxins build up faster in 3lb dog than in a 130lb dog.

Thank you! Science Diet was recommended by the friend I got the puppy from, her dogs seem very healthy. But its not her dogs' vet billson my dime, so I started looking but didn't know a reliable website. Thanks for the link!

I feed Frosty Vital Essentials. I switch only six months ago when a friend recommended the food. I was also feeding Science Diet and was having a weight problem with one dog because she was over weight and then Frosty was constantly losing weight. When I switched I couldn't believe the difference in the dogs they look great and are healthier then they have ever been. At first I didn't know how bad the kibble diets could be for your dogs until a friend recommend the food. Once she explained it to me it made perfect sense. Don't know if this helps.
