Default Started on pre Made

Several months ago I tried Paco on Prey model raw and it didn't go so well, mostly because of me not Paco. Over the weekend I started him on Pre made raw. Stella and Chewy's, I got the lamb flavor, he's had 4 meals so far, I'm giving him 3 small patties per day, it still seems like alot of food, but I'm going forward with it and he seems to really like it. I've gone from feeding him once per day to twice per day 1 1/2 patties morning and evening, I think it will work better for him. He seems a little lethargic and he is pooping less, but hopfully that will sort it's self out. I was wondering if I have so stick to one brand of pre made or if i can give him an assortment of different brands? Also, is the pre made his complete food or do I still need to feed him organ meat and bone? I have also switched to the missing link without the gulclosmine. Hopefully I'll be successful this go around.

The pre-mades are complete foods You don't need to add anything else if you do not want to. You might want to give part of a chicken wing 2 or so times a week, to help clean his teeth, but that is only if you are comfortable with that.

The pooping less is normal, he WILL pool less on raw foods, as there is less waste, the body uses much more of the food than it does a kibbled food, pretty awesome huh? I love that about raw! We feed a TON of Stella & Chewy's and mine only poop 1-2 times a day, depending on the size of the dog.

Missing Link with Glucosamine is a good supplement -- as is Nupro with Glucosamine. I think the Nupro ingredients are slightly higher quality but Missing Link is what I use for dogs I show as it does encourage fur growth, despite no logical explanation for that.

Well he is loving this food. He went back and licked his bowl about three times after he had already licked in clean once. I think I'm comfortable with the pre made raw and I can do the chicken wing every so often, so far so good. I'm happy and so is Paco.

Awesome! I think you will see some nice benefits of the raw diet. I am actually using about 50% pre-mades right now since we are temporarily away from home for work. I don't have the freezer space, etc. needed for prey model so the pre-mades are working great for us.

I'm glad that Paco is enjoying his food so much. That's the best part.
