Question What should i feed my puppy

Hi Everyone

I have asked a few questions regarding the food i am feeding my puppy at the moment (royal canin mini junior)

I cut down his meals to 60g per day (this is the recommended amount on the pack) spread over 3-4 meals, as he was pooping ALOT so i thought i was feeding him too much.

He is still pooping alot even on the 60g per day and he seems to poop within 15 minute of eating every meal.

I am now really thinking about changing his food as i dont think it is normal for him to poop so much and for them to be so big for his size.

Do you think it is the food that is causing this?

Also can anyone recommend a good food that i can buy in the uk. I have read that some foods can also be too high in protein aswell as wheat causing the dog to have loose stools.

How do i know which is a good balanced food?

Thanks very much

Hi there,
The pooping after meals sounds pretty normal
But this food is fantastic and well worth a try, much better for them than RC
Natural Dog Food, convenient puppy nutrition

Nutrition is much more important than most people think. With our last boy, I was one of those people. This time I have searched and researched and am appalled that what I was spending a lot of money on and thought was a great food was junk food for him. My girls eat MUCH healthier becasue I am better informed!

Here are a couple of unbiased sites that rate foods. I do not know if they cover a lot of food from UK but you can search by brand name or look for foods that are 5-6 stars (the top rating depending on which site) and try to find those.

Hi

What do you feed ur chi's?

ive been looking at getting orijen but im worried the high protein will make his stool loose.

Also why does everyone seem to think royal canin is such a good food when it doesnt get rated high, even my vet said its good.

Am i right in thinking that my chi is pooping alot becuase he cant tolerate his food as i know now i am not feeding him too much.

Thanks very much
