Red face Do chis get fed up of eating the same food?

Just asking because Chulo seems to tire every few months of the same stuff (we try to buy top quality) yet my mother told me she always feeds her dogs the same things day after day. Chulo is my first dog, BTW.

PS any recommendations for food in the UK most welcome!

LOL, I am starting to feel like a rep for these people today...
Natural Dog Food, convenient puppy nutrition

What is great about this food is if you get the 6kg taster pack it has 3 different varieties, Lamb, Turkey and Salmon. So you can let them have new tastes each day or week.

It is being proven more and more now that dogs need to be fed on a rotation diet when feeding kibble, or canned food.

They can develop allergies when being fed the same food day in and day out.

It is good to feed a different protein source every couple or weeks or months:

One would think so, but... yet at the same time, rotating too often can
cause intestine upset. Not good...
Good question..

I actually think it's people who don't rotate their dog's food often enough that run into this issue. If a dog is eating the exact same food for 2 years and then it's swapped on them, they will probably have digestive upsets as their body adjusts, because they've spent the last two years only eating one thing. Imagine if you ate Total cereal and nothing else for a year and then went out for Mexican food...

On the other hand, those dogs whose foods are rotated regularly (every couple months or so) usually have far fewer digestive upsets when their foods are swapped, because their body is acclimated to variety.

I even know people who feed 2-3 different foods at the same time. Food 1 for breakfast, food 2 for dinner, food 3 for breakfast the next day, 1 for dinner, etc.

I feed different foods every meal . Usually ZiwiPeak or Stella and Chewy's in the morning, and beef, pork, or chicken for lunch/dinner. No tummy problems here.

I tend to make my own mix, so to speak.

I have a huge plastic canister that I combine 3 different kinds of kibble in - all high quality, but different meats. I do notice that my girl tends to stick to one food, while both my boys eat it all.
