Default wellness core

Ive been feeding Fromm with great results for quite a long time now but sadly my pet boutique has closed down so now Im unable to get the food (I dont like the option of online shopping for dog food its just not for me) the only stores near me are Petco & Petsupermarket so I set out on the search for a new food & ended up with Wellness Core Small Breed. We are on day 3 of the transition & while Piper & Friday are loving it they have really smelly poo other than that it seems to be going well. It is higher in protein than the Fromm I was feeding which was 30% this is 36% I believe.

Is anyone else feeding this food with great results or does anyone have suggestions on a better food with tiny pieces that I can get at Petco or Petsupermarket.

Very cute chis!

I feed Wellness Core, up until now, was probably the only one. But I use the regular because I feed it to my golden as well. Angel is a 9 ponder deer head with a "very strong jaw." I also give him THK Embark. I wanted to do raw, but I can't do it! So this is the next best thing! We are on a budget so Wellness Core is a good buy for me. I get a 26lb bag for $53.

A lot of people on here do raw. It seems to be becoming more popular. I believe it is good for them, but I am okay with THK for now!

Raw just isnt an option for me I know alot of people on here love it & swear by it but I personally just find it gross. Im in a small town so I am limited to what I can buy locally I actually have to drive about 30 minutes to the petstore each way. Wellness is very affordable & they offer lots of coupons & even samples which I find nice, Im paying about the same price for wellness that I was for the Fromm. Im hoping for good results with it but i guess only time will tell.

I fed Wellness Core for a while, and yes, Stella definitely had stinky poos from it! I would much prefer to do raw, but we haven't gotten back into it since we moved and sold off our breeding rabbits.

Because we are on a budget til we get things straightened away from our first house, we are feeding 4health from TSC. It's decent in a pinch.

Yes, I use Wellness Core Small Breed. It must be tastey to them because now my other dog wants it. He is on senior food but I've been mixing it in so he will eat. Chloe, my Chi, gets it and I add water. But she scarfs it down before it is soft. She needs the added water I think because she isn't a big drinker otherwise. Plus it has some chondroitin and glucosamine in it and she has bad knees. (LP)

Thanks for the comments everyone I'm glad to know that there are others out there that still go the kibble route. The smelly poo really isn't a huge issue since the Chis mostly go outside other than at night or when it's raining then they use pads.
