Default Now Juliet is gone.

This must be an omen.

A little over a year ago, this stray apple head chihuahua wandered in our yard.
She had a gimp rear leg. She could not put any weight on it.

We took her in, had her check by the vet. Her leg did not seem to have been broken. They figured she was born that way.

I always figured something was not right about her. She took to my wife.

She had one seizure last summer. We figured she got too hot laying in the sun.

All was well until last night. Our boxer mix (female) attacked her. I was not in the room, but it seemed like a quick (let her know who is lead in the house) attack. A little injury to the skin behind her eye. nothing major, she seemed ok. Then she had a seizure. Lasted about 2 minutes. Then all was fine.

This morning she was gone. Eyes still open. I figured she may have had a seizure during the night.

We never knew her age. Don't know why someone abandoned her.
She hardly barked, only when it was storming or she wanted out of her carrier. She barely if any whined.

My wife is very heart broken to lose 2 chihuahuas in 1 week.

Wife does not want another chi.

Rest in peace little girl.

Oh I'm so sorry about your Juliet. Just be comforted that her last year was in a great home and she had good care.

Thank you.

She loved it. Never left my wife's side. She liked to get under the blanket while sitting with the wife, but she only did that with the wife. She would not let me put a blanket over her.

I am so sorry for your loss. They are meaningful to us for sure. Maybe one day your wife will be ready to let another chi back in.

I can understand why she's reluctant to get another Chi after losing two so quickly. My thoughts are with you. Yes, at least you know Juliet's last year was a good and comfortable one and I'm sure she's grateful to the both of you for giving her a loving home.

I just talked to the wife.
I am pushing her to get another chi. I think it is a good dog for her. I will also try and get her on this forum.

Romeo was around for 13 years almost. Juliet brought her issues unknown with her that I believe and we will never know what caused her passing.

Wife needs a companion since I work alot. She even told me she thought about getting a cat. NO CATS. been there, done that.

How saddening and heartbreaking to loose two beloved furbabies in one week My heart goes out to you and your wife.
