Unhappy David, only 8 month

Hello,

yesterday, my little chihuahua David died.
He was only 8 months old, and the loveliest pet I ever had!

I came with him from the supermarket, and wanted him to run on the meadow
since he was feeling really good again (I went to the vet the day before where he got a shot)
There is also a street, not too many cars, however, I wanted to call him back, he was not on the street, only his head was bent over the kerbside... then there was a car coming very fast, a lot too fast, too close to the kerbside and hit his head.
He was probably dead immediately, he wasn't even able to make a sound. The driver didn't slow down just drove away (hit and run).
I took him nevertheless immediately to the vet (I stopped a car) however he said he must've been dead just when the car hit him.
I am just so sad, I miss him so much!
All the time I think he might come around the corner and play with me or jump on my lap.

I already contacted the police to find witnesses.
I hope he is fine wherever he is!

I'm so so sorry for your loss. I wish there was something I could say. I lost a chi last year, she was just a little over a year old, so I know how horrible it feels. I can't believe the car didn't even stop, some people are so disgusting.

Oh my! I am so sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine the pain of watching it happen. May he rest in peace.
I cannot believe the driver didn't even stop! That is just plain rude and so inconsiderate, people these days can be awful.

hello,

thanks to you all I still need some time.. I haven't realized it yet.

Maybe later it's just a thought (but I need to be over it ) I might get another one in a year or later, when everything has calmed down.

Would you buy one at the same breeder (I still need to tell him) or choose a different one? I need to say I really like the breeder.
But maybe he will say 'no' ?
