Default Two All Those Who Have Lost A Companion or Companions

I feel sad whenever I hear of someone losing their companion(s). To some/many of us they are a big and very important part of our lives and we love them like they are our children.

I lost my two companions of over 13 years, Jesse & Shadow within five months of each other. Shadow was Jesse's Mom. It has been two years and I still miss them both so very much.

I lost Jesse on March 22, 2012 to Liver Disease, and Shadow on August 2, 2012 to cancer. If I had only known then how deadly those "Spot-On" Flea Treatments were they might still be with me today.

Jesse was 13 1/2 and Shadow almost 17 when I lost them. They were both very healthy and never needed to see a vet for anything but their required shots for their entire lives. I would like to believe that they both had a happy life while they were here on this earth with me.

I understand how devastating losing a companion can be.

In Heaven there is no more pain or sadness, only peace, love and happiness!!!

Rest In Peace My Beloved Friends!!!!

I hope this will help:

Every time I read this I cry and remember my dear companions Jesse and Shadow who are in heaven watching over me and waiting for me to join them.

So sorry for your losses, no matter when it happened, the tears and the hurt will always be there. But I'm okay with that because the love we had was well worth it!

I share your feelings about flea and tick treatments. BUT, I am not going through anaplasmosis with my golden! she is due for her blood test now that she has finished her antibiotics. I am hoping she is cured - or at least in remission! Anaplasmosis is very similar to Lyme disease. Should we use a tick treatment? I don't know. If it isn't one thing, it's another! Right now, I am putting ACV in their food daily. We've been fortunate so far because our weather hasn't been very hot and the nights have been getting down right cool!

I will keep trying different natural products til I find one that works best!

Have you ever heard of the website DiscoverNeem: Discover Neem Oil: Uses, Benefits, Recipes and Remedies

Here is one of the tick specific pages on the sight, but there is a WHOLE LOT of information there:
Using Neem For DogsNeem for ticks on a dairy cow

This one is 'brown dog tick' specific:
Will Neem Spray Kill Ticks On My Dog?

You should try to read as much of the site as you can so you understand Neem Oil and its effectiveness and how it works. There is a .Neem Oil for Dogs area too:
Using Neem Oil For Dogs

I have a neighbor that is a very irresponsible pet owner and does nothing to treat or prevent fleas on their multiple animals. The children are covered with flea bites. It disgusts me, to say the least. I have lived here for ten years, and until they got a total of 7 animals all of a sudden, my companions never had a flea problem. They asked me to help several times, and ignored my recommendations every time and the situation gets worse and worse. When I examined all the animals, there were fleas running all over everyone of them. The animals are kept in their sunroom. In addition to the flea problem, when the wind blows right I can smell the cat urine in my yard over thirty feet away.

Every time I take My Two Little Monsters outside, when we come back in I have to flea comb them and I always get one or two fleas.

I use Neem Pro 100, Neem Pro 100% Guaranteed 3000 ppm Azadirachtin - Neem Pro 100% because it has the highest concentration I have found of AZADIRACHTIN.
NEEM PRO 100% GUARANTEES 3000 PPM OF AZADIRACHTIN - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Azadirachtin is the most active pesticidal compound found in nature; Neem Pro 100% contains a consistently high amount of azadirachtin - 3000 parts per million. Every batch of Neem Pro is tested to ensure consistency - this is why NEEM PRO 100% IS THE ONLY EPA APPROVED COLD PRESSED NEEM OIL ON THE MARKET.

I make up the Neem Oil Insecticide Spray using 4 Tsp. of Neem Pro 100 in 32 oz of warm water along with 1 1/2 Tsp of Dawn Dish Soap. I spray my entire house three times a week. I may be a bit excessive/obsessive with this, but I never again want to have a problem inside my house like I did last year when all the problems started.

I mix up a 10% concentration of the Neem Pro 100 and add 90% Olive Oil & Peppermint Essential Oil. I rub this on their coats and massage it in every other day.
If I miss a flea, it is usually either very lethargic or dead when I find it on one of them later.

Neem works by messing with the flea and tick systems. It makes them forget to eat, or forget to lay eggs, it tells the eggs and larvae not to develop.

If I see them scratching and chewing at their skin, I have a spray made up of Peppermint, Cedarwood, Clove, and Citronella Essential Oils along with a Tsp or so of Dawn Dish Soap in 32 oz of water. I spray them starting at their heads and working to the back and end at the very back in the tail area. Then I work it in to their coat. This seems to always chase the flea to the area behind their rib cage and between their rear legs. I spray 3-4 good sprays right on the flea. It will usually die quickly. I ALWAYS pick it off and put it in a small bowl of soapy water in case I get it off before it dies and it is just 'drunk' or dazed from the spray. Fleas HATE the smell of this mix, so it also prevents fleas from choosing them as a host for a day or two, maybe more.

They also get a weekly bath with Dr Harveys Protection Shampoo, enhanced with additional essential oils. After the bath I massage the Neem/Olive Oil mix into their coats.

Since this started last summer, this is the only thing that has worked because of the sheer number of fleas outside in the grass, and it has worked very well for me. It was so bad in the beginning I was picking off up to ten or twelve fleas off of them every single day.

How did so many fleas got outside??? They emptied their sunroom and put everything outside BEFORE they used their pesticide based 'bombs' in their sunroom. They covered all of the boxed with a tarp. By not bombing and then removing the junk, they took thousands and thousands of live fleas and released them outside. Within a week you could see fleas jumping on your legs when ever you were out in the yard.

Four weeks ago my neighbor emphatically stated that their cats had no fleas. I saw the thirteen year old outside in shorts a few days later. His legs and arms were covered in flea bites.

Good luck, I hope this information will help you.
