Default :( Toby got hit by a snow mobile

My jackrussel who was my first actual puppy (puppy meaning i got him at 8 weeks old and raised him) got killed by a snow mobile today at 2:50 p.m.

I was at the college writing a test and when i got home my bf said we had to go to my parents that they called to tell us to stop by. When i walked in the door my dad was crying and i looked around and my brother was crying and so was my mom and my dad said Toby is gone Amy he's gone..and they showed me his body and i immediately grabbed him and started petting his face and i kept saying he's not dead he's not! And they told me he got hit by a snow mobile and they took him to the vets and the vet said he had brain damage and he was dying with in seconds he died on the vet table. The snow mobiler's that hit him was a man and his 12 yr old daughter. I am sorry if this makes no sense i am still in shock and bawling my eyes out. I can't stop crying I am crying because he was my first puppy and i taught him everything.. he never went on the road and today the first time he ran on the road in 6 yrs of his life he gets hit by a snowmobile. I can't help but wish terrible things on the people that hit him i really can't i want them to feel the pain i am feeling i want revenge - but there can be no revenge the people jsut carried him to my father and told him they should have had him on a leash and took off on their snowmobiles. I cry because my dad is in his 70s and we just lost our beagle around christmas time and Toby my jack russel became my dad's second hand man they were always together he was the high light of their lives he laid on my dad everytime i called there my mom would tell me what toby was doing or had did that day. Now there house is dogless my dad has never been dogless in his life he has always had a dog..

I never had a puppy from a young age we always had rescues Toby was the first dog i had and trained from a baby..

I am so sorry to hear that.I know exactly how your feeling , i had a chihuahua before i had cloey and tiny actually it was last year her name was daisy, one day my husband decided to take her for a walk so he was taking her to my job to see me as he was walking he walked by this house he didnt see anything but like 5 seconds later two pitbulls got out from under a fence and came after my chihuahua, my husband said he had no chance the female pitbull picked her up by her teeth and the male dog just growled at my husband .she then took her back in the driveway by that time my baby was dead the pitbull puncutered her lungs.the police came i rushed over to take her to the hospital they were already waiting for her outside like 5 vets were waiting. they came out and said im srry she didnt make it she had no chance but if i wanted they could resitate her but shed be in severe pain im like no.all the assistant vets had tears in there eyes i was in shock i didnt cry until i got her home where i kneeled down and held her in her cardboard coffin and all i could say was im so sorry.i buried her in my garden in the spring and summer i always buy flowers to put on her.Till today im in court for the money he owes me those dogs it wasnt there first incident it was there 4th,it took mine to have thenm take them away and euthanize them . so i know exactly what your feeling.
again im so sorry

I am so sorry.
I know your pain as it's been months for me, and I still feel the heartbreak. Now I shed tears for your baby too. I do hope your father does not close his heart to another baby. My father lost his poodle years ago and never got over him. Just the past year he got another little dog to love and though it's not the same little dog, he's made my father enjoy waking up every morning.
I understand where your anger is coming from and it's ok to feel this way. You did your best to train your boy not to go on the road. Try to remember the good times.
Run free at Rainbow's Bridge little man. You will never be forgotten. xoxo

It's been hours since i found out and saw his body but i cannot stop crying i tried to go shopping for a kitchen table to keep my mind off of it but every other second i was thinking about him and id start bawling and would leave running out of the store just to sit in my car and cry.. its like i cant stop.. and it doesnt seem like anyone around me understands... i dont want to go to my parents house anymore it wont be the same just being there today while his body lay on the couch i was looking around and seeing all of his things toys, blankies, his bed everything.

Thinking about it makes me just want to go be sick i cannot get over it and nothing is making it any better :'( :'( :'(

Everything you're feeling is normal (as horrible as it is) and you must not hold back your feelings. You loved him and it's so hard to let go. I had to contact the pet loss hotline when I lost my boy. I couldn't get past, and my work was suffering and friend's weren't able to deal withme anymore. If it get's worse, and you need help, here is a link that helped me. Hang in there hon.

I am so sorry for the way you are feeling. I lost my beloved Georgia 3 weeks ago, she was hit by a car. She was only 3 years old. I wanted to curl up and shrivel away. But I promise to you it will get easier, not better, but easier. Take all the time you need to grieve. And I am sure he is still at your side.
As for the people who hit him, you cannot blame them, its easy, but it doesn't help. That will never get your little one back. I am sending out many hugs your way, if you need to talk i am here.

I'm so sorry for your loss...**HUGS** i know how it is to loose a baby.... i lost my little boy max this past summer, and it was horrible... we had to put him down due to being old(was almost 19) i had him since i was 1, so we grew up together, he would sleep with me, i would sing to him.....and i must say, its just as bad as loosing them suddenly. i really wish he would have just went on his own, he ended up going blind, and not being able to walk/ use the restroom. it was the worst thing i had ever witnessed, so my mom decided to put him down. unfortunetly i was the one who had to take him, and was the one who got to sit with him while they shaved his leg, and i balled my eyes out and was holding him while they put him down. I know what your feeling is probably the worst feeling in the world right now, put trust me it will get better with time... i still to this day look for him when im feeling down or going threw something, but i know hes still with me, and your baby will be with you and ur dad in spirit.ugh okay i better stop im bawling now too LOL. im really sorry for ur loss again. i hope u feel better soon...
