Default Too Much Organs??

Is it possible for you dog to have too much organ in their diet??? Like to the point it could be harmful or bad for them??

The reason I ask is, because of feeding organs 2 times a week, I was going to blend up some organs, and fill up ice cube trays, and freeze the blend into little cubes, then I can give one them a cube with each meal. Or maybe just one cube a day..

I want to think that there is a point where too many of certain vitamins can become toxic. It's the same in humans. But I'm not sure what amount you'd be feeding, and of what kind of organ(s), so I guess I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else here would know more about what amounts of what kinds of organs are safe.

Yes it's absolutely possible to have too much. If my guys get organs too often
or in a large serving they'll most likely get loose stools, so we avoid it. Once or
twice per week is more then enough, remember it should only constitute 10%
of the diet.

You can definitely split up their weekly portion into several teeny tiny portions,
that should not be a problem.

So are we saying it should be 10 percent of their weekly diet??
If so, then if I feed 4 oz a day, that would be 28 oz in a week or seven day. So 10 percent of the 28 oz they eat would be 2.8 oz of organs they should have a week

Or are we saying 10 percent should been from the total amount the eat in a month

Well I did the math and it would still be the same amount of organs weekly

Yes 10% is the same amount whether you work it out daily, weekly or monthly . Totally up to you and your dogs how often you feed organs, as long as they make up around 10% of the total diet. It is easier to feed a couple of times a week alongside their bony meals. If you are feeding bone every day, then organs every day might be best too. Just keep an eye on the poo. If it is too loose, it is either too much organ or not enough bone.
