Default Baby Steps in the Right Direction

I just went to talk to Kim and she is jumping for joy as I am going to go at least one meal a day RAW! I am nervous as Huly is so picky and Sadie is 15 and Nala is 18 and Sonny & BG are spoiled brats. But we decided to start 1 teaspoon a day with the cats and the chis and a tablespoon a day with the hounds and slowly increase it. I am going premade right now until I get comfortable so this is what I got

Also Kim likes this brand as it is all natural 100% raw where Stella and Chewy's and Primal is pasturized raw. Whatever that means LOL!

She told me to thank all of you for the influence as she has been slowly leading me towards raw and between y'all and her she has accomplished her goal

I am just hoping at this point that all 6 will eat it without any tantrums cough...Huly....cough and that they will enjoy it.

Eventualy she wants to try Huly with a bit more fish as my screw up pretty much proved everything she already believed. That you can be allergic to a cooked protein but not a raw.

Good for you Christie! I've heard good things about Oma's Pride. Just think.... in awhile you will be going to hare-today and drooling over all the body parts and what you can get to feed your crew .... *evil laugh*

Lol I pics to come tomorrow but here are the results:

Sadie- swallowed it whole
Gibbs- devoured it
Nala- empty bowl
Sonny- yummy in my tummy
BG- put some in her mouth spit it out but did eat a good bit
Huly- UGH he ate half then said NO so I took a can of his favorite duck and put just a little on top. He ate it all HAPPY DANCE

I think I still gave it to them too cold but no upset stomachs no issues so far.

Ok so I cut off chunks then added hot water from the tap (so it was not too hot) I do not think it was warm enough for the cats or chis but my hounds love anything frozen. Also should I add microwave water to defrost and warm it or just tap water and did I add too much water? I have it in my fridge now instead of being frozen to make it easier tonight and Kim said it will be good in a fridge for 5 days. I figure between all 6 that 2lbs will be gone in 5 days.

Sadie & Gibbs

BG & Sonny

Nala & Huly

Also did I do ok adding a little can of Duck to Huly's to get him to eat the rest last night or what should I do with Mr Picky?

Lovely pics, I love to see them enjoying their food. Add as much water as you want, i use water from the kettle that is hot but not boiling. Sometimes I make minces into a soup for them, (especially if they have had upset tummies) so they have to lap it up, they don't seem bothered by the texture.
Cats are much harder to transition, so for your oldie Nala to take to raw so well is just fantastic. The temperature/texture must have been just right.
You did the right thing adding some of the duck to Hulys, he ate it on the first try, so a success in my book. You can reduce the amount of duck in time, once he is used to the chicken mince he will eat it on its own. Even if he never eats it 'plain' adding a little canned isn't going to hurt if it gets him to eat his raw.
I think it was a huge success all round.
