Default Why organs are important

We are often asked why it is necessary to include organs in a raw diet (especially if you have a dog that refuses to eat them lol) and this article explains it well.

I have tried beef and chicken organs and the Diva says no! Is she getting enough in freeze dried Primal or Stella and Chewys? I also give freeze dried beef liver treats

My Chile used to refuse organs so I started frying them a bit (still to raw for humans) in coconut oil to bring out a bit of flavor and she loves it now (even totally raw)

Mine adore organs. In fact, they'll pick them out of the bowl and leave everything else!

Lilo refuses to eat all organs too. She HATES it. The only way I can get her to eat it is by making a mixture of minced organs and meat/mashed vegetables/ porridge with a bit of yoghurt. She would never eat a meal of just organs. It has to be a little bit every day and hidden. lol

My girls will eat anything, (some strong organs, like venison kidney they aren't as keen on) but Harley was always an organ refuser. I have had to hide them in things (usually tripe, or under the skin of a chicken or rabbit portion) to get them down him. Now, after two and a half years of raw feeding, he has finally started eating his organs willingly. So don't give up! Mine had an offally breakfast today, minced lights (lungs) liver, kidney, and heart with a little tripe to make it tasty. Harley licked his bowl clean I am so proud of him.

Huly, I don't know how much organ is included in the pre-mades you use, but freeze dried or dehydrated liver is just as good as fresh, it is cooking that destroy the vitamins etc. Don't forget cod liver oil either. In a dog that really won't eat organs, it is a concentrated source of all the nutrients found in liver and most dogs like the taste.

Ha ha ha ha you want the diva to eat cod liver oil! Ha ha ha I am going to ship you my diva!

I can get her to eat dried cod skin. It is like a soft rawhide not cooked but dried, and I can get her to eat a sardine after she acts like she is going to puke but salmon oil etc is out of the question lol

I have tried hiding beef and chicken organs in just about everything and the diva refused!
