Default Orijen Freeze Dried Dog Food Regional Red

We are thinking of switching from Acana kibble to the Orijen freeze dried reginal red. The only concern we have is two of the ingredients from the list. It contain a mix with wild caught salmon and farmed salmon and also pea fiber. I know wild caught salmon is a good ingredient. Many of the research saying farmed salmon contain many of the hormones and antibiotics and pea fiber is one kind of low grade by product filler. It seem these two ingredients are not so good. So I want to know what you guys think of this food and need some advise from you guys again.

Where are you seeing that it is a mix of wild and farmed salmon? Their other fish is all wild. That is a question for the company to answer. Also, it is only a small part of the whole formula. As for the pea fiber, it is also low on the list, not making up much of the food. The company (the same one makes both Acana and Orijen) has careful sourcing, so I would not hesitate to trust their sources and feed any of their foods.

I talked to them on the live chat and the representative told me about the using of the farmed salmon mix. They said they are only using high quality farmed salmon which fit for the human grade.

I agree, both of these ingredients are quite low on the list so personally I don't think they're worth worrying about. As 'bad' ingredients go, they're really not that bad anyway imo, but especially not in such small amounts.
