VERY loose stools...

Hi all,
Been feeding raw for over a week and a half now, Honey was doing fine on it, no loose stools, nothing. She started refusing her kibble in the day about 3 days ago, so is now on full time raw, still on chicken.
The last 2 days, her stools have been so loose, last night i was up 5 times with her to go poo! As soon as this started, i began feeding more bone in meals - is there anything else i can be doing to help this?
Thanks from a very tired doggy mommy! x

I have no idea about raw feeding but wanted to say I hope it clears up soon.

Don't overfeed. That is a very common new raw feeder mistake and it causes the runs. Give a bone heavy meal such as a chicken neck, back portion, wing. Take the skin/fat off. She should be sorted in the next day or so.

Thanks Jen.

And thanks for the reply Tracy, i had been feeding chicken thigh meat aswell as wing so that must be it! Am defrosting some wings out of the freezer as we speak! Am i still feeding the 3.5-4 ounces a day, just of bone-heavy stuff?

Yep, just do wings for a day or so until the stools firm up. Take some scizzors and try to cut off the skin if you can as fat can contribute to loose stools in a beginner dog.

Keep us posted! I know that's no fun when they are loose and have to go all the time. I'm sure if you cut back on the food and do bone heavy meals for a day or so, that will clear up.

Oh and when should i start re-introducing meatier bits?

When Honey is completely transitioned onto chicken and doing well. Then you can start adding in another protein (pork or beef) just one bite at a time. Go slow. There's no rush. :)
