Default Ziwipeak + raw question

So usually I just feed my dog 100% Ziwipeak but I'm in the process of getting another Chihuahua and did the math. The two of them eating Ziwipeak would cost quite too much. 4 bags wouldn't even last them a full two months and one bag is $40. I could afford it if I truely wanted to feed it but don't think it's worth that much. The Chis are big lol not tiny. One is 7.5lbs and the other is 6lbs hence why it cost so much.

Anyway... I did the math and feeding half Ziwipeak and half raw is much cheaper. I used to feed full raw but I'm now way too busy to do the ratios, plus I have nowhere to get organs from now. So basically Ziwipeak would be for the complete and balanced meal and then they would have a boneless raw meal. I know red meat is best, but since they'd be getting the balanced Ziwipeak which is red meat, would it be okay to use just turkey for now for the raw meal? The only available red meat in my area is beef and pork and my current Chi is allergic to beef.

I don't know exactly why but I was hearing that feeding dry food and barf at the same time is not good? Not sure if that is correct but thats what I have heard. Thought I would mention it anyways. Maybe someone knows if thats true or not.

Nope, where I live, the only store that carries it actually costs MORE for the 11lb bag than to just buy multiple bags that equals 11lbs. It takes 5 small bags to equal 11lbs. 5 bags costs $150, the 11lb bag costs $161. This is because when you buy 3 of the same product, you get the 4th free.

Why don't you buy from a place that sells it cheaper and ships for free? That is what I do.

I actually think feeding a mix of ZP and raw would be outstanding. Right now I just feed ZP. I get bags for $30-ish each and again, free ship.

If you have not purchased from wag.com yet, check out retailmenot.com for some great codes off first time order form wag (and other places).

petfooddirect, naturalk9supplies

Several other places are good as well.

I thought about it but I almost never have money on a card lol I use a lot of cash. I was thinking about changing that though if the savings are worth it.

Even the 11lb bag wouldn't last much. It would last just barely over 2 months. One dog eats 1oz a day, the other will eat 1.5oz a day, that's 2.5ounces a day. Times that by 31 (days in a month) and it's 77.5 ounces in a month. There's 176 ounces in 11lbs.

I can get raw for much much cheaper where I live lol.
