Feed bones covered with lots of meat. chicken wings are very bony. They are useful in the new to raw dog. Instead, you could do the breastbone of the chicken, the ribs, or the back. Chili could gnaw on the knobby ends of the drumstick and thigh bones. Usually chicken necks are OK too.
Or you could go to cornish hens which are softer bones. Every part of a cornish hen is edible. If I cut up a regular chicken for Brody (rare), he gets the back, the ribs, and the sternum (breastbone).
If I need to feed extra bone, I use the chicken wing TIPS which are soft and flexible and have more cartilage.
I don't feed turkey bones at all as I think they splinter. Turkey meat is fine, but they are BIG birds and I think the bones just aren't appropriate for most chi's.
