Out of all of that here is what it comes out to

10- 2 oz servings of Steak and Chicken mix with 1/2 tsp of organ slurry.
OR 1 week of boneless meals when I add in the wings and chicken I already have.
6- Weeks of 2 per week pigs feet
2- weeks of ox tail
8- weeks of Liver, Tripe, and Kidney
8- additional weeks of Tripe.

Just to let you know, this was not as fun as it should have been to prep. I had forgotten how horrid the smell and texture of organ meats are!

But it is fun to go look and see what kinds of goodies I can find for my little man!

Wow, terrific haul!!! I'm very impressed!! Everything looks really good and fresh. LOVE it!

The only thing I would tell you to do differently next time is to skip the tripe. Tripe for human consumption is bleached and all the good stuff (grass, enzymes, etc.) are washed out of the stomach and then it is scalded and bleached. Hispanic people use it in several dishes, menudo is one. GREEN tripe is the fresh raw stomach of an omnivore like a cow or sheep. It actually has a green appearance from the grass. It is a great appetite stimulant for reluctant eaters.

Here's a picture of what green tripe looks like ....

There is no problem feeding the stuff you got, I just wouldn't buy it again. It can be a chewy treat and does have some nutritional value.

Brody is very jealous of Biscuit's yummy menu and wants to know when he can come over.....

Yea, I figured that would be the case, but I mostly got that to add texture into his organ slurry. He wont eat the liver or kidneys in their natural form, but will eat it pureed and mixed in with his other stuff. I am waiting for my folks to send their livestock to slaughter to get the other tripe.

Brody can come for dinner any time!

Thanks for the info and the help again!

Wow Biscuit is one lucky pup lol! I love ethnic grocery stores; we get a lot of stuff at Valli Produce or Fiesta Market in Rockford, IL. Not many other options for kidney around here. Great haul!!! =D

Do you have a Publix in your area? Sometimes I see ox tail cheaper there, I usually buy that to make soup broth.

LOL...there is no yuck factor there for me, I used to eat all this stuff when I lived with my parents.
