Default What to get from my butchers

I keep avoiding going to my butcher because I feel like I have to know what I'm looking for. I can't really browse or anything. So, my question is what are cheap things I can ask for that are good for Mylo to eat? He gets ZP twice a day and raw for his evening meal. Thanks!

I would say start with chicken or lamb, they are usually the most inexpensive. I dont know how much lamb costs where you live but here chicken and lamb are the most inexpensive. Beef is costly. Liver?

Chicken wings are cheap, (but usually cheaper at supermarkets) so are pork ribs. Butchers sometimes have chicken necks too. Always worth asking for bones, some butchers give these away free. If you just want meat, no bone, just say it is for the dog and ask what's cheap that day. All types are suitable. They usually have various types of heart, not always available in supermarkets.
I get my offal, chicken carcasses and necks, goat mince, rabbit, pig/lamb/ox/chicken hearts and bones from the butcher, plus anything that is reduced. Pork and lamb ribs, chicken portions, oily fish (usually sardines) and frozen mince comes from Sainsburys. Tripe comes from the pet shop.

I got chicken wings from the supermarket. I got some pork ribs from the butchers and they were really expensive! My butchers do a bag of bones for 50p. I guess I'll have to see what they've got. Thanks

Hey you can see some butchers caring to rip people off, hence they sell typically scraps on much high rates. However, may be you can come across a good one. So don't acquire suckered into purchasing big bones with no meat.
As you know that many of these bones are teeth wreckers and indigestible. I think 70 percent muscle meat, 10 percent bones like lamb, poultry etc., 5 percent liver and 15 percent others are all you need.

I personally would buy any boneless meats. If you're feeding Ziwipeak, Mylo is already getting plenty of calcium. You don't want to add any excess by feeding lots of bone. If he isn't a hard chewer, beef short ribs are very meaty and good for teeth without edible bone. As I said though, any big meaty boneless chunks would be good.
