Question Feeding Raw diet/which protein is best for VERY sensitive stomach?

Hi all!

I have been feeding Stella and Chewys and Primal both frozen nuggets to my 2 chihuahuas and shih ztu since they were very young. I LOVE this diet, however my 10 month old chihuahua has a horribly senstive stomach/intolerance. She has been on quail, but its time to switch. The vet has her on K9 Intestinal powder, but she still vomits bile or food nearly daily. Shes happy, playful, and spunky but she is so intolerant to most proteins. Especially chicken and vension. None of that!

Anyone else here with an intolerant chi who feeds raw and can recommend a protein that maybe would work for her? I am thinking of rabbit? Or even duck...

It may be a matter of rotating different proteins until you find out what works. I know dogs that can NOT tolerate beef, but they do fine with bison. Same with chicken, duck and quail are different, even though they seem so similar. Rabbit is usually well tolerated as is lamb. I've not heard of dogs that had trouble with pork. Just try it and see.

Wonderful, thanks so much. I just picked up rabbit and turkey and sardines formulas for her, hopefully it works... Trial and error... Was just wondering which protein may be easiest to tolerate for such a sick tummy-ed pup!
