I had to update my contact information for my dogs' microchips today, and I had to pay $17 in order to do it. Apparently the account has to be "renewed" every year? I asked the woman helping me what I was paying for and she said I was just renewing the account. I guess I am not understanding here- I paid for the microchip and wasn't told that I had to renew it, and now I have to pay to change the phone number? I just don't get what I am paying for. They have a website where you can access your pet's information and supposedly change it, but it has never worked for me. Has anyone else had this issue with their microchip provider?
